The self storage industry is known for its often brash and stand-out approach to advertising. A lot of business is picked up simply because the potential customer knows where their nearest storage unit is with its gaudily painted exterior and bright advertising banners. A softly softly approach simply wouldn’t be noticed. For those of us who haven’t picked up where the best storage deals are near them, stand out roadside, paper and newspaper ads abound. Not to mention TV spots.

If you are going to attempt dominating self storage in a storage-hungry and ad-emblazoned area like Manhattan, you need to really pull the stops out with your advertising. Just go here for a few laughs and wonder how they get away with some of this.
